Clevo: Good build, rather good cooling

I need a laptop for school, it must be lightweight, and cheap. No chromebook like laptops as the school does not have WI-FI all over.

lightweight

good battery life

windows 7

run word and basic programs with zero lag

See if you can't do what I did and find a second hand good condition Dell XPS12 (version with the Haswell i5 4200u). I love it over my old HP, and I use the rotating touch screen WAY more than I thought. I found one in perfect condition for $750 bucks (New Zealand Dollars), which equates to around $480USD. I couldn't be happier with it, it's light, quiet, snappy, and feels great!
