I bought 2x4GB Kingston So-Dimm 1666mhz ram memory and that work fine when I got Windows 7 Pro x32bit but when I tryed to install differen system, laptop not allow me to boot any disk.
After backing factory 1333mhz 2GB ram memory I can install other system, in my case that is Win 7 Pro x64bit and now, when I insert this ram memory of 1666mhz power shows just for 1 sec and laptop turn off.

In case when I tried one ram of 4gb 1666mhz and 1 ram of 2gb 1333mhz it work all when windows need to load. Windows show loading animation and restart.

I tried both ram in other laptop and it works (same processor and same windows x32)

Its MSI CR620

My System:

Proccessor: Intel Celeron P4600 @2.00GHz i3

BIOS: E1681MS Ver.10C

HOW CAN I RUN THIS RAM :o

First of all 32 bit windows can only use 4GB ram so no it did not previously work, and 2 an OS cannot make a laptop turn off after 1 second.

CONSOLE KILLER: Pentium III 700mhz . 512MB RAM . 3DFX VOODOO 3 SLi

I know OS cannot make a lap turn off but i everythis is same on lap except windows.

I tried with 1 ram (4GB 1666) and again same.

Can you run the memory at 1,333 in the BIOS and see if it boots?

Perhaps it's unstable.

I cant get in bios. Laptop turns off after the second or two.

If you want I will record how it work. Maybe help

Ram is not compatible and not designed to the specification of your laptop. Check your manual to see what is the maximum of ram your system allows, return them and get the correct ones. Those ram working 1 times, just means your some what lucky during that time.

If it worked multiple times until Windows 7 64bit was installed (even though the OS has nothing to do with your ram), then it might be faulty. Go back and change it. Best just to grab some 1333MHz 8GB (2x4GB) sticks. The specs from your laptop says max ram is just 1066MHz.

Your laptop is being picky about the ram it wants to use. Even though it works sometimes. Best option is to change it, try another brand and see if that works. Might want to check out Crucial.
