Anker PowerCore 20100 not charging...?

Hi all,

 

I recently purchased the Anker powercore 20100 off amazon (http://amzn.to/1nht31L) and it charged my iPad well. It arrived with 50% charge. But I plugged in the micro-usb cable to the 'input' slot and plugged that into a wall but it just blinks on the lowest charge light. It is a USB Type C charger block, and I have no USB type C ports, but it does seem to do something. Any help? It didn't even charge overnight.

It does charge now - I had to plug it into a different socket  :P It just charges very slowly, probably because of it's huge capacity.
