The struggle of being in South Africa

fazzywazzy

So I live far away from any major city that might have a decent tech shop that I can buy Pc stuff from. I was wondering if anyone know a place in South Africa that sells pretty decent quality components and its at the same price anyone in USA/Europe will pay. Yes, I can get stuff shipped...but two reasons why I don't.

1. It costs the same, if not more, than the actual price of the object im shipping across.

2. If anything comes into the country that looks cool/fancy, 95% chance it will go "missing" and tracing it leads to some tree in the middle of a jungle. Thank you very much for the useful replies ahead.

The reason things are priced higher in places outside of the US is because most countries have import taxes so you pretty much won't find parts that are the same price as the US anywhere unless you get lucky with a big sale or something.
