Hi, I'm bad at this game (lol)

I have about 70 hours and I still haven't gotten the hang of it. In fact, I'm banned for a week from comp because I always get kicked for going negative.

Also, my mouse pad keeps moving and it makes me lose a lot of gun fights, how can I fix this?

I swear only a third of the people who speak russian on CSGO are actually russian

Your right, they could all be Armenian: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_territorial_entities_where_Russian_is_an_official_language

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

1. Don't go negative. It doesn't help anyone except the enemy. People WILL play worse if they're feeling bad and somebody's shouting or swearing at them. If you feel like you're starting to get salty, think about what I've just said.

2. Motivate your team. No matter how good you are, this is a team based game and you rely on your team doing well. You can't get a good team every match but you can maximize your chances by being positive and nice to them. Just drop a "nice" when somebody from your team gets a first kill or something like that. You wouldn't believe what a massive difference it makes.

3. Lower your DPI if you haven't done it yet. It will be a bit annoying to get used to at first but it will pay off big time when you get used to it. I personally use 800DPI but some people use even less. Going over 1000 will impact your accuracy.

4. ALWAYS keep your crosshair in a "useful" place. By useful I mean at a head level, and when you're running around the corner keep it close to the wall so if you encounter an enemy, you won't have to move your mouse far. Don't aim straight into a wall or into the ground. Always be ready, like someone's about to jump at you. This is a really big one, I've noticed that a lot of new players don't do that or do it poorly.

5. Don't rush, especially as CT. Rushing can sometimes work out in the lowest level of csgo (silvers and golds) but the higher you get the less effective it is. Try to hold your site as long as possible and delay terrorists with smokes, flashes etc. Just remember that the terrorists have to come to you, not the other way around. Use that to your advantage.

6. I hope you know what an "eco round" is?

7. Don't look at K/D. Having a good KD doesn't mean that you're a good player. I have a LEM rank right now and I have friends who are like 2 ranks below me, yet when we play together they usually have more kills than me. The problem is that they're greedy for kills and they prefer to get a ckeeky frag instead of defending a bombsite and basically trade +2 kill to their score for a lost round because they exposed the bombsite. Running around with p90 will get you a decent amount of kills, but it won't win you as many rounds as playing properly and holding sites.

8. Pick few maps and try to really master them before moving on. When I started with csgo I only played dust2, mirage and inferno for like the first 200 hours. Once I knew all the spots on these maps I started to play other maps and now I know pretty much every map in the active duty. Don't be that guy who plays nothing but dust2, thats just silly.

Oh yeah and the most important one:

Learn few basic Russian phrases. Even the angriest Russian kid will calm down and laugh when a foreigner is talking broken Russian to him.

have you customized your crosshairs and played with your DPI and sensitivity? Settings my DPI to 700 and in-game to 6 on sensitivity made everything smooth and precise, but also fast when i wanted it to

700DPI and 6 sens? Thats still crazily high. I play on 800DPI/2 sens and some pro players go as low as 400DPI/2sens

May I ask what is your rank?

I don't really have a rank, played 200hours of csgo on intel hd graphics laptop , forgive me but I pirated it cause I knew it wouldn't run well, I got 30fps at 720p medium. I used to be great - now I swtiched from a logitech cheapo mouse to a corsair sabre optical. Then I bought it on steam. Note: Even with my old experience, I struggled on easy bots. My rank is probably 'nub' I am improving though.

So I should change my DPI to 800-1000 everytime I launch the game in Synapse and change it back everytime I close the game? Is there an easier way to do this? I play at 2200 DPI and 2 Sensitivity

I don't know about synapse but SteelSeries Engine allows me to assign different DPI to programs that are running in the foreground, so basically it switches the profile when I run the game. I'd be surprised if razer didn't have something like that.

Or you could just get used to it outside the game, up to you really, whatever you find comfortable. There's no "right" DPI/sens. It is just a common thing that new players play on high DPI which is not good for aiming since you don't have to be able to do a 360 in one move in CSGO since in a situation when the enemy's behind you you're practically dead (unless they're silver).

I don't know if you have a deathadder. If you don't you can still set up different profiles that can be changed from the Windows task bar. If you do have a deathadder though you can set up the buttons on the side to change to a different sensitivity.

People be looking for a reason to flame.
