Can I overclock my 8320?

Specs:;

 

FX-8320

500W EVGA 500B PSU

XFX R9 280X

MSI 970A-G43

 

and to overclock do i just change the multiplier

You can, but not on that motherboard unless you want to fry it. That PSU is something to change as well.

You can overclock that CPU but I highly recommend to learn some basics about overclocking first before doing it.

Apart from that stress test your hardware on stock speeds before starting to overclock  ;)

That cannot be right unless you're outside. Idle temps are ambient temps plus a few.

It's an AMD cpu they don't have temp sensors, it's calculated based on power conditions and is famously inaccurate at low temps :P

 

Anyway op you can but that board isn't exactly great. expect 4-4.2ghz :)
