I am researching for a new build and looking into the gigabyte g1 980ti as a graphics card option. My question is if I go with my current planned motherboard (EVGA Z170 FTW) if the cards will have enough space to receive proper airflow in an SLI setup. I do not want to risk a card if it is going to be running to hot under load.

see if you can get a MoBo that supports slot 1 and 3 sli. That would be best for non reference coolers
