I plan to upgrade my pc to make it more quiet. Unfortunately I have some problems and I am counting on your help. At the moment I am running a i7 3770K, Samsung SSD and a GeForce GTX 670 (I want to change it for the 980). Everything is inside the Define S case, a choice that I think was perfect for my needs.

The first problem that I have is that I do not know how to determine the noise level I want to achieve. I think I need this information to look for parts that meet this requierements. Do you have any sugestions where to start?

Well... Are you looking for absolute silence or just quiet?  The easiest thing to do is eliminate as many moving parts as you can.

Have you identified which components are noisy?
