Pre-Order it (edit: a physical copy) on Amazon, they won't charge your credit card until the item ships in March.

 

You'll get a Beta key for pre-ordering.

 

Register for the Beta online.

 

Cancel your Pre-Order.

I believe if you activate the code you can't return it better to get a free code somewhere.

Don't know where you got your info, but I do have confirmation of people who have successfully done this.

 

But if you're worried about Amazon not allowing you to cancel your pre-order after activating your code, just cancel it before you sign up for the beta.
