What does this mean?

So I tried installing OSX Yosemite on my PC on an empty HDD because I was board. The installing went fine but when I boot in it gets stuck at this.

ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::gatherCStateOverrides - failed to set c-state demotion data: -1

Any ideas how to fix this

youre trying to make a hackintosh by just installing it normally??

 

you know that there is a ton of stuff you need to do to get OSX to work on a PC right...

Last I knew about Mac OS is that only specific hardware like motherboards is compatible with Mac OS X

CState is to do with power management of the CPU. Are you running an Intel CPU? OSX should be able to natively manage all cstates of Intel CPU's

Mmm ok, not to sure what its complaining about with it then, i've not really worked with OS-X much, but its CPU Power Management related.

Hopefully someone with more 'hackintosh' experience can shed some light on the specifics

Ehh, I have a friend who knows about Hackintosh but they only thing I know is only certain hardware is compatible, but good luck finding your problem

They say: Try to boot with "dart=0 nv_disable=1"

no idea what this means, but if you do, try it....

 

Other solution might be to boot to different drive to access OSX drive, navigate to system/library/extensions/ioplatformpluginfamily.kext/show package contents/contents/plugins, and delete the acpi_smc_platform plugin. Try the first on first though, as the second one might cause a fresh install to be needed

try boot with GraphicsEnabler=NO

Have you tried turning it off, and turning it back on again?
