I have an hyper 212 for my current build should i use that or by that cpu cooler and is powercooler a good brand to get for gpus?

So what's your display set up?

because skylake isn't generally worth it over something like a Xeon 1231v3

Also most of your current set up is fine, I'd suggest just investing in a solid 4k display rather than getting an entirely new PC, an upgrade to an i5 or higher is probably going to be worth it though

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Powercolor has decent coolers and is better than something like ASUS.

Feel free to use the Hyper 212 EVO, it'll be fine.

Can you reuse some of the parts like the case and harddrive of your old system?

If not, then HKZeroFive's build is a great choice, apart from the SSD, which I think is too expensive for a boot drive.

But if you can reuse some parts I would probably go for a fully modular PSU for better cable management or a better case.

It'll work fine if you don't want to redownload them

but you should keep your hard drive split between a main OS partition and a 2nd partition for your data like games, that way if you ever have to reinstall windows, you don't need to redownload things

Technically that would work. It's very easy with Steam for example, but should also work on standalone games.

You just need a drive for a backup.

Skylake really doesn't give you much that's worth it, if you must go skylake then get the locked i5, as for the same price of the unlocked i5, you could basically get a haswell i7 with the Xeon 1231v3 at $250, so ya way more performance for the same cost

oh okay what do you mean Backup? for what

Well you don't exactly need one.

I always use one cause it makes it easier for me. You can simply backup all the stuff you need and format the drive. Then you put everything back on it. That way I don't have to fear that I accidentally loose data and my drive is much cleaner than before.
