Connect GPU to psu

You want to hook up both 8 pins on the GPU, make sure they are PCI-E or VGA labeled power cables.

Hey guys :)

so I am currently building my first rig, and I have a little problem here ^^
I got 2 8pins connectors on my GPU. Do i use both ? 
Or do I only use one 8 pins connectors ?

GPU : msi gtx 980ti
psu : evga supernova 850 G2

I got 4 and they are labeled VGA 1, VGA 2...

I need to use, for example VGA 1 and VGA 2 on the psu ?

Use the ones for VGA or PCIe power.
