Please Help, GPU under performing

Ok...

That GPU usage definitely looks VERY odd. I wouldn't expect a bottleneck to look this. GPU core clock is going out the wazoo. Although it does seem to be bottleneck. Like a very extreme case of it. More than what I would expect an 8350 to do. Core 1 is being completely maxed out while the rest do nothing. So yea, the game is definitely single thread bounded.

Everything else looks normal, gpu temp is fine, fan speed isn't freaking out so no overheating there, memory clock is fine, memory usage is fine, cpu temp is fine, RAM usage is fine

Two things I suggest you do.

Run Unigine Heaven. It's free, download and benchmark with it. That benchmark shouldn't be CPU bound at all. Run it and compare it here. Be sure to get the settings right as well. You should be getting around 1450 score. If you do get that, then I'm afraid the problem does lie with the CPU.

Like said before, try overclocking the 8350, even just one of the cores is fine. Just 1 core should be easy enough to bring to 4.7. Then see if that helps at all.

EDIT:

If you're afraid of overclocking because the BIOS looks terrifying, use AMD Overdrive. It's a desktop software for overclocking. You'll easily be able to do a dirty overclock to 4.7 with one of the cores. They don't apply permanently either, so if your comp crashes, it should reboot fine as the settings aren't applied when computer is restarted (unless you tell it to do so).

I'm guessing this is a CPU bottleneck issue. Quite possibly caused by poor/inadequate VRMs on the motherboard (not uncommon with these board/CPU combos).

Thanks man, will do. I did run heaven, and I got about 1300, so it is pretty accurate. I'm on a 1080p monitor, so it's about right. I'm already looking into a 4790k, I just have to stack up some cash, or find a good deal.

MicroCenter or Amazon

If anyone asks you never saw me.
