RAM and SSD not reading

I just got 16 more GB of RAM and a new SSD, and when I boot up the PC, the extra RAM only shows in CPU - Z, but not in BIOS or Control panel, and the SSD shows up in BIOS, and Corsair Link, and in drive optimization as an "unoptimized" drive that I can't optimize for some reason. I have an X99 Deluxe Motherboard and the old RAM (The RAM that is recognized) is in slots A1 and B1 and the new RAM that it won't recognize is in slots C2 and D2.

Just to double check is it the same ram or two different types of ram?

Also have you formatted the SSD?

Edit just seen your post about not knowing what formatting is. (how?)

Read this.

RAM is exact same kit - Crucial Ballistix sport DDR4 2x8GB for what should be a total of 32GB

What does that mean?

hdd's and ssd's do not come formatted, you need to format them to ntfs for windows to use them
