Building First Gaming PC! Need help making decisions.

d3cod3d

Hello

I am hoping to build my first gaming PC this December. I have already made a few lists, but I really want to know what people with lots of experience would do.

My budget is going to be 1000-1500 USD. I know that with that price range you can make something pretty epic, but i also know that you can certainly spend too much on certain things and throw off balance.

If anyone could give me a parts list or a link with the prices of the parts, that would be fantastic!

Thanks

d3cod3d

You clearly don't know who you're talking to, so let me clue you in. I am not in danger, Skyler. I AM the danger! A guy opens his door and gets shot and you think that of me? No. I am the one who knocks!

That is a very wide price range. With 1000$ I'd put in an i5 4670K asCPU, with $1500 I'd definitley choose the i7 4770K. Also, what kind of build should it be? You are spending a whole lotta money on a PC. Should it be the best bang for the buck or should it be extra silent or look cool?  Moar details please. ;)

Edit: also, will you put it together yourself (hope so) or will you recieve it built together alradey?

who cares...

In fact, i need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and case :(  The case was something that i was really having trouble deciding on because i really care about the looks of it externally. If you decide to go with meon lights, i would prefer them to be blue. If you think a side window or even mesh will fit nicely go ahead and pick a case with that :)

I definitely want it to look cool B)  but sound suppression is not a priority. just avoid it making the neighbors think an Apache helicopter is taking off in backyard

The Fractal design Define R4 is allways a safe choice, as it is quiet, has a completley clear sidewindow and has lot's of room to store stuff. For light's you can allways add some phobia flexlights later on, or bitfenix alchemy strips.

who cares...

sounds really badass but i do actually need those three things. is there any way you can nerf this a tiny bit to include funds for those things?

Which games will you be playing so we can be more precise on the GPU?

well i have already preordered battlefield 4, i would like to be able to play skyrim on the high graphics texture pack, and other things of that sort. BF4 is my main concern
