PETG/Hose cutters

Yes, Just use a pipe cutter, This http://www.amazon.com/Ridgid-40617-4-Inch-8-Inch-Quarters/dp/B001P307PO is the one I have. its the fastest and easiest way to cut PETG tubing, its also the easiest way to get straight cuts.

I personally would stay away for cutting kits and buy everything individually. With the kits, they always have to cut corners to make it a deal, so they cheap out on the material, like the Silicon insert for an example, you wont tubing that is solid and not hallow , plus that tubing cutter will not work as well as pipe cutters or, the cutter MNPCTech recommends to use.

Not sure what the other parts cost, but the cutter it self is most of the price, it seems: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/xspc-heavy-duty-hose-cutter-0-25mm-wc-341-xs.html

a deburer tool is $9.95 USD, the silicon insert (solid) not hallow is, $7, gloves, not sure, I already had a pair before I got into hardline bending, Pipe cutter, is $14-$20 depending on brand (Ridgid) makes expensive stuff.

I have worked with PETG tubing 6 times now, since it became popular, the pipe cutter you linked, honestly looks like it will crush the PETG tubing before it cuts through it. Just a personal observation I noticed about the cutter, not sure if Im right or wrong as I have never used the XSPC cutter but PETG tubing is like a really thick strew. put to much pressure on a strew and PETG tubing reacts the same way under a certain amount of pressure.

I personally use a Miter Saw. Just drop it down slowly and you get the straightest cuts ever. Not telling everyone to go out and buy a saw, but many people already have such tools because they are super handy around the house.

Having worked with PETG just recently, I don't recommend a saw as it has more errors than a pipe cutter. So, like what @ericlee30 recommends, go with a pipe cutter. Plus, with a pipe cutter on cutting PETG, sometimes the cuts are so clean that you could just not debur it (I don't recommend NOT deburring PETG, Acrylic, or even copper and brass pipes like the ones that can be bought off of hardware stores or the brass pipes that Alphacool sells. Debur for safety). So, yeah, pipe cutters are absolutely more precise (much, much less to go wrong with) and takes considerably less effort over a saw.

If not, so will I probably need to get this one: http://mnpctech.com/case-mods-gaming-pc-liquid-modding-custom-computer-mnpctech-overclock-cooling-fan-grills/petg-and-pvc-ratchet-tube-cutter.html

Which should work with Primochill PETG.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

I have a saw, but its a pain to deal with, as clamping it down dont always work when its bent.

The first two... I don't recommend for PETG. The one MNPC recommends, even if it legitimately works on PETG, why not the smaller and less expensive pipe cutter thats designed to cut pipes used for plumbing and/or brewing, which can easily cut PETG (which, if I remember correctly, is a mix of plastic and acrylic, correct me if I'm wrong on that one) http://www.amazon.com/Ridgid-40617-4-Inch-8-Inch-Quarters/dp/B001P307PO ?

"$40.53 Shipping & Import Fees Deposit to Norway"

Was trying to save cost. But it seems even the one from mnpctech will cost a lot to ship.

Welp, how much is the shipping fee for MNPCTech's rigid tube cutter?

Yes , that will work fine, Im guessing, I cant tell if the cutter has one or two wheels, at the bottom of the cutter, if it has two, it will work perfectly, if it only has one, it will slide left and right when cutting, which will make the cut very uneven. and if Im not mistaken, it also has a debar tool at the end of it, I like that feature of the bitspower cutter :)

I recently got the bitspower pipe cutter and it works just fine imo. Only the integrated deburring tool is not that good.

Make sure to put a piece of tape around the cutting area, otherwise the wheels will leave some marks.

PS: I cut primochill PETG with it.

I was just going to ask about tool marks on the tubing. I use a Rothenberger for copper almost everyday at work and there is always rings. Something like painters tape works OK? Just ordered my first round of petg (or any hard tubing) today and am super stoked

I haven't noticed any marks on the pieces i cut. Even only 1 winding of painters tape worked fine, maybe do 2 to be safe.

But even if it left marks, I think I wouldn't see them with the Primochill revolver fittings.
