Buying a new video card

Erthok

I'm looking to buy a new video card I am looking at the gtx 970 or the 390x I have a 1920x1080 monitor and a 2560x1080 monitor. Would the 970 be pretty good? I play Warhammer Vermintide, fallout 4, ESO, and Battlefront. I will also only be using one of the monitors

390x is significantly better if your PSU and ears can handle it.

MSI Twin Frozr 390X would be great.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

isnt the 390x priced quite a chunk higher than the 970? (or did pricing change again?)

should also add that my 970 has zero problem with larger resolutions, and that i've posted the proof of that so many times those two images have more hits than the rest of my puush account combined...

right.

1) PSU, yes.

2) I thought the 390x has a fanless mode because its not a furnace to the extent that it used to be.

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(

$30 more for way better performance. I liked a 390X btw

399 - 349 = 50

i dont do promos, they're a temporary thing that does not compare prices.

in fact, i have all promos turned off when i do pcpp builds.

even on a Tri-X cooler (one the best apparently), I can hear it from 30% fan speed. I have a h440, and that is apparently a good silent case also.

Maybe it's just because I'm a pussy or a just overreacting to it.
