Kodi on Smart TV?

Hey everyone!!!

 

I am just wondering if it is possible to put kodi on a Smart TV. The TV I have is the Hitachi 42HXT12U. I can't fins any detailed information about the TV and its firmware. If anyone knows if this is possible, i would appreciate it.

I don't think so. You can just pick up a Nexus Player if you really want to use Kodi. They're like $60.

I already have an android box. I just wanted to know if i could put it on the smart tv, so i could give the box to a family member.
