Anyone got a good idea of what's required to stream bandwidth wise at any sort of decent quality? Game play to twitch in specific I've been meaning to get around to it for a while but due to several moves my internet quality isn't as good as it once was. Assuming I optimize settings pretty well with OBS could I get a stream to be decent quality with 30MbDown/10MbUp load speeds?

10up is kinda low. Wouldn't even attempt streaming with anything under 50up, tbh

streaming only uses about 2-3Mbps upload speed...

5Mbps is definitely enough for full quality

the twitch cap is 3.5Mbps

anything over wont do anything because its not possible to stream at more

Somehow I was taking into account more bandwidth than just the stream (my moron flatmates managed to bork my hardware firewall, which is supposed to do 500down/200up flawlessly)

wtf? I've had Fiber before with less than 50up

 

3.5 bitrate is usually a good base quality.

Oh damn xD I've litterally moved 6 times in the past 2 months, and I at one point had 100Mb up and down... and thought now I wouldn't be able to do so

10 up should be perfectly fine, how many devices are on your network?

Irrelevent I'm currently living on my college campus, and every student is given their own bandwidth of which I have 2 my computer and tablet...  Each dorm building has 10Gb up/down and students get what I listed above to each of them
