If you need windows and you want a macbook you can always just run bootcamp

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

If all you need to do on the machine are using office tools such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel or their Open Office type of equivalent programs you can look for Macbook Air clones, like the Asus Zenbooks or similar from HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, etc.

LOL gayzer blade, but thank you. which one would you recommend out of all of them?

Zenbooks and Gram's look the sleekest imo, and very portable. My buddy has a Smokey Brown Zenbook UX303 with Skylake CPU, looks really sleek. Definitely my faptop of choice starting college next year.

If it has to look like a mac then just buy a mac and bootcamp it.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

I don't know.  Been quite a while since I last looked at any non Macbook Pro laptops.  A number of people I know first started with something like an Asus Zenbook or Toshiba (something like a Macbook Air design) for themselves or for their kids and a year or so later all moved to using a Macbook Air or Macbook Pro because the Asus, Toshiba ones didn't last long.

How about this :D

You'll be able to do word editing fine xD Really though, are you looking for something like the XPS 13? It seems like a pretty nice and thin work laptop to me. Heres the link to that:

The UX303 witha skylake CPU and QHD display is $1200. The Gram 15 is similarly priced but 1080 I think, but it's also very light.

Your pick.

eh, I just like the whole laptop thing and lightness, some of the laptops are touch screen hence why

One thing to consider, since I think you are looking for something very portable similar to a Macbook Air style of laptops, you might want to consider that no one has yet to come close to making a multi touch touchpad that's so easy and comfortable to use as the ones on every Apple laptop.

Otherwise if you get a Zenbook or anything similar that is not an Apple product, remember to also get a mouse.

yes yes yes yes yes yes yes

I have an ASUS Q550lF, and the track pad does just fine for multi touch gestures, however the palm rejection is meh.

Actually I think you should get this Dell XPS instead, it appears to be better built than Asus' Zenbooks.  Unless you have preferences in specs or in the brand.

I hear the keyboard on the XPS 15 (13) is really shitty, and a good keyboard on a school laptop is important.
