Hello,

I am thinking about upgrading my cooler from stock, and I am looking for a cheap but effective alternative, I have looked at many.

I have found the Cooler master Hyper 103 and the TX3.

Both have good reviews and fit my case, yet I am unsure which.

The TX3 is slightly cheaper at £17.90 compared to £18.71

I f you wouldn't mind please do direct me to the better one.

Thank You!

I use the Cryorig M9i as my replacement for a stock cooler. Its cheaper than the 103/TX3 and performs great.

Cooling i5 4690k in Corsair Carbide SPEC-01 case.

The Spec 01 fits the 212 Evo. It's been done many times.

A Pure Rock would be better though: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk009

Also, to answer the initial question, the Hyper 103 is better: http://us.hardware.info/reviews/5629/4/39-cpu-coolers-review-what-is-the-best-choice-graphs-cooling-socket-1155

It is, Cryorig product are cheaper in the UK then US. If you want to OC, a Cryorig H7 is shorter, cools better, looks nicer, and is quieter than a 212 EVO.

Thanks for the info, it seems you are right, contrary to what corsair says the 212 does fit!

With your advice on the Pure Rock being better, why is it? is it quieter or more efficient?

Thank You.

It performs similarly but is quieter.
