Power supply powerful enough?

Have a system with an A8-7600 in it, with a 400w power supply (Really only 20 Amps on the 12 volt rail). 

Would putting an HD 6850 be too much for the power supply?

(I would get a new power supply if I had the money to do so.)

Any other ideas to up the systems gaming performance would be awesome.

There's more to a PSU than the wattage it provides. What PSU is it?

20A 12v = 240w on the 12v rail.
