Your PC Gaming rig has some pretty unnecessary bits:

-32GB of RAM? For gaming? Overkill

-1500W PSU for two 980Tis? Overkill

Can't comment on the Origin setup because I know very little about the specs but 5960X is overkill if you're just gaming.

NAS looks decent.

  • I have no idea why you're using 1TB 10,000rpm drives for storage... Would save some $$ going to WD Black.

For your NAS, you would likely do better going for the Seagate Archive 8TB drives. 8GB RAM would be more than enough, and why an X99 E5 Xeon? By the looks of things you've only got 1, maybe 2xGbps LAN so you couldn't even saturate a 5400rpm drive so there is no need. An i3-6*** would do.

AX860i, or 1200i would be fine for 2x 980Ti... You really don't need the 1500i

You don't need an i7 for the gaming rig, as an i5 is an excellent gaming cpu. The i7 is more for editing, so if you are editing on the gaming rig, get an i7. 32gb of ram is not needed as well. 8gb of ram is more than enough for gaming. If you don't want 8gb if ram, you can go with 16gb and add another set to upgrade to 32gb in the future. A dedicated sound card is also not needed. You will only get improvements from a sound card if your headset is really crappy. If you are doing work with audio, however, you will need a sound card as it allows you to hear the different sounds better. Simply put, the gaming rig is way overkill and there is no need for something like that, except for the dual 980Ti if you want to max out 4k.

The second rig is good if you are editing on it. If not, you are overspending way too much on it.

The NAS looks good nothing much to change about it.

i5 4690k | MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G | Swiftech H240-X | MSI Z97s SLI Krait Edition | Corsair Vengeance Pro 8gb ( 2x4gb ) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 850EVO 250gb SSD & WD Caviar Blue 1tb HDD | Fractal Design Define R5

my idea wasn't just gaming on the first rig but that's why I choose the 6700k also I thought 1500 because of future proofing... what do you think?

I doubt we're gonna need that much power in the future. Have you seen the new 14nm FinFET that's gonna be in Polaris? Very, very energy efficient. Same goes for NVIDIA and Pascal.

6700K is great for gaming but if you're video editing and such, go for the 5820K and the X99 mobo instead.

There is no way to completely future proof your system. You may have the performance but eventually the technology and architecture will get outdated. Spending more money on a pc does not mean you will get more for your money, same goes with spending less. You need to find the sweet spot.

Then it looks good. Just dial down the PSU to something like a 1000W, and while it's still overkill, it'll save you some money.

I envy you by the way.
