Please help, what CPU can I pair w/the Gigabyte GTX-950 that is budget-friendly & is on par w/the GPU?

I'm about to buy the GTX-950 (Gigabyte version) and now what CPU can I pair w/it so that it's on-par w/it. Please no dual cores.

 

I was looking at the FX-6300 vs. the Athlon 860K.

 

I want to run GTA V on it.

 

Which one do I choose? Help? Any other suggestions that are within the budget (e.g FX-6300/Athlon 860K) help please!

I actually might get the 860K and then overclock it. But overclock it to 4.2ghz. What cheap/budget-friendly motherboard do you recommend? Thanks a lot! 

 

Would the cooler-master hyper-212 do for this overclock?

Q1: Gigabyte's FM2+ A88XM or whatever it is (trying to name motherboards off the top of your head is hard fucking work ) is a good motherboard. 

Q2: Hyper 212 will be fine but Cryorig's C7 or H7 would be a better choice for the same or slightly more money.

I think that I will actually get an FX-6300 since it seems much better somehow...

In reality, both CPUs are on par until you get into video editing/streaming, where the FX-6300 will have the lead, and single core tasks, where the 860K takes the lead.

 

Power supply is good. Motherboard is okay.
