So recently I've heard a lot of bad rap towards the CX series of PSU's by Corsair can someone elaborate as to why people hate on these model ? And one more question is the RMi series a awesome or not really ? thanks guys!

The CX series are mediocre, they are fine for basic builds. They are just not meant for high-end builds. But they are not "bad".

The RMi series are great.

they are fine for cheap pc but some people put them in PC 700-1000. The max I price I would put  build a PC around a CX is 650$.

Good luck, Have fun, Build PC, and have a Wii and PS2 as your only consoles.

its nice to see at least the forum staff still has some sanity about CX.

they're not a bad power supply, just dont hook up a hungry graphics card to them, or OC all the things...

CX are okay. As the overall quality of psus have slowly gotten better, it seems the spectrum of bad--> excellent has shifted a where anything below great has become mediocre or 'terrible', leaving no room for anything in the 'okay' range.

RMi are great.

Thanks for the feedback! really do appreciate it! Agreed overclocking on a CX not the best of ideas. Been there done that never again.

There's nothing wrong with oc'ing on a cx psu. They're just not as well suited at high loads as a psu of higher quality. This is a pattern you can observe with just about any psu of different quality.
