Hey, im thinking of getting a new GPU, cause why not, but i'm not sure if i should either get another 970(which i already have one of) and run SLI, get a 980Ti or just wait for the Nvidia PASCAL series?

my cpu is more than capeable of keeping up beeing a 4790k clocked to 4,5GHz.

No reason to wait. EVGA offers an upgrade program and it you don't want to go with EVGA you can simply sell your existing card once the price drops on the new ones.

Sell your 970 and get a 980ti. More VRAM and the 980ti will perform similarly to the SLI configuration.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I'd wait. The 970 is still very capable. If you can't wait, go for an EVGA 980Ti, then use their Step-up program to switch to Pascal.

Just need to make sure you register the card within 14 days (of purchase) I think http://www.evga.com/support/stepup/

970 is still a great card. But if you want to upgrade, since you already have a 970, you could do SLI and get great performance. You could also sell your card and buy a 980 Ti. It's up to you if it's worth more time to try and sell the card, as opposed to buying a second card now and get gaming.

No one knows when Pascal will release. There's speculation but nothing concrete or set in stone. Buy now, otherwise you'll always be waiting.

eBay? They go quick if you price it right. :D

Unfortunately, if you don't have an eBay history you have to wait a week to get you money. :(
