Is this tomshardware user correct?

And the other thing is that you'll get better boards with more features with the Intel that you where proposing. AMD's chipsets are ancient. Until the AM4 series boards come out they are a poor choice.

Sir William of Orange: Corsair 230T - Rebel Orange, 4690K, GA-97X SOC, 16gb Dom Plats 1866C9,  2 MX100 256gb, Seagate 2tb Desktop, EVGA Supernova 750-G2, Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3, DK 9008 keyboard, Pioneer BR drive. Yeah, on board graphics - deal with it!

Weird thing is that he is no longer responding to me even when he is currently online...I think he must have blocked me or is trying to back his claim up by looking up the web...This is right after I questioned his analysis about the fx 8320 cpu being better than the skylake cpu's and the i5 4460 when oc'd to fx 8350 levels

Also isn't the i5 4460 better than the i5 2500k?

I did not go through every word, but has the cooling needed to OC the FX CPU been part of the bottom line?  Add $30 to the FX build just for a decent little 212, H7, or Pure Rock.  Stock cooling is not pretty.

I don't see any situation where I would get the FX CPU when the PC would be used to game on.

Yes, but the 2500K here is overclocked to 4.0GHz so an i5-4460 at stock settings is roughly equal to the 2500K results I have here.

To be fair, 2-3 years ago there was a case for a budget FX based gaming rig... those days are gone.  Some people are still back there.

Actually I think so far only Asrock and MSI boards allow for Overclocking. Unless a BIOS was released for Gigabyte, even then you have the very budget friendly PCMate that is decent for the $90-$100 it is

single thread no amd can't hang with intel even oced but if you take a look at the 8320e for roughly $20 less than it's worth a look but I also say want to shed some $$ from intel and get better temps or just don't like the intel heat sink then look at a oem 4440 on super biiz for $170 then grab a cheap cooler if you don't have one already.

Tek Syndicate is a great YT channel and forum actually, however that video stirred those people with intel based systems as it represented one use case scenario, obviously fanboys will use this and shop it to how they want it to appear.

Ahh I see

Note: I found him sketchy because he try to make a video about how to build your own headset but it was all misleading and in the end he didn't even bother to tell us how

AMD Shill 2

Who is logan?

Logan is the "front-man" for Tek Syndicate.

Often the main host of many of Tek Syndicate's videos, along with Wendell, Pistol, that one New Zealander they had that got deported and we never heard from again *cough* Be careful Dennis *cough* and Quain.

Kek Syndicate's alright actually, a little bit of false pride, but they're genuinely a nice group of people who have good content.

For amusement purposes or if you are planning to troll him *don't mention me please, he might somehow kill me*:  http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2792840/amd-8350-intel-4460.html

no way.. he has 18k posts and spreads that crap? what an idiot
