Hey guys,

I would like to keep my price under $700 dollars, however, if you guys think that this build is a solid choice, I would be willing to spend the extra $30.  I will be playing the latest games on one 1680x1050 monitor (hoping to upgrade to 1080p/1200p soon!)  Any AND all suggestions are wanted/appreciated.  Thanks a lot.

Here are my two options:

Budget and Intel just don't go together too well. It can be done, but sometimes you're better off just going with AMD for budget builds.

System specs:  CPU: AMD Phenom II x3 705e unlocked to x4 overclocked to 2.8GHz   |   MB: ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS   |   Cooler: Hyper 212+   |   GPU: MSI GTX 560ti OC to 910Mhz   |   RAM: 8GB PNY DDR3 1333   |   HDDS: WD Caviar Blue 320GB, Hitachi 500GB HDD   |   PSU: Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 500W   |   Peripherals: Microsoft wireless mouse, old mac keyboard, ASUS VS238H, Gateway FPD2275W, some speakers, Logitech Driving Force Pro

I know you want an AMD build, but with that budget you can get so much more out of an AMD system, there's absolutely no point in going with intel.

I put this together for you, it has a 7970, an SSD and a 1tb HDD.

Good, but upgrade that psu to a 550 or a 600w... Cutting it a bit close at 500.

^ Yes if you want some extra overclocking head room, get a bigger PSU.

Unless they're overclockable, it probably wouldn't be as good of an option.

Then again, they aren't out yet so I can't be sure.

Not a "k" series although he should still should be able to give it a slight boost...
