Deathadder scroll wheel fix

Is it a smart idea to use whiteout to fix a common issue with the deathadder where the scroll wheel becomes loose? I have already taken the out the wheel.

If the warranty is long gone, then theres really only 2 choices, do it or dont do it, if it works it works  I have a second generation deathadder myself and the mousewheel have always been the worst part, just amazed how long mine have lasted when you think about Razer's horrible quality.

If your talking about something like this it looks to be that the plastic shaft has been worn or rounded out so it doesn't engage the sensor properly the white out or paint is just to add thickness and work as a shim to take out some of that slop and properly engage it again. I would try it if the warranty is over, might as well try since it's already broken.
