Hello.

I am thinking of ordering a noctua nh-d15 but I noticed the fans, although good, look awful. I was wondering if I would be able to spray paint them black to fit in with my system or would there be an issue?

Thanks in advance

Buy a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3.

But are louder due to their hight min and max fan speeds.

The performance gap between the dark power pro and the NH-D15 is considerable.

Higher fan speeds =/= more noise exacly. A good fan at higher rpm could make less noise than a cheaper fan at lower rpm.

And still they are really quiet if you keep their rpm down. They are still noctua's and perform really well.

It sounds like OP would sacrifice 2-3C for aesthetics.  There are other options like Cryorig R1 ultimate and Phanteks TC-14PE though.

To actually answer your question(yes im looking at you, half the people responding to this thread) You should be able to spray paint them easily if you dont like the color scheme. Linus even put glitter on his.

Well I'd agree with you on the point of glitter. But I don't really see spray painting as "stupid S***" that will in any way prevent you from using the PC. I mean yea if you just left the fan installed within the case, stuck a can of spray paint inside and let it go wild, then yes you might damage the nearby components, but I've never actually seen someone do that. Usually when you spraypaint your fans your take the fan out of the case, and remove the blades to spray paint them separately from the rest of the fan, or at the very least just cover the parts of the fan you don't want to paint with masking tape. Using this method the worst case scenerio is that the fan in question dies(unlikely), but in no way is a single fan dying going to stop the op if he "wants to really use that PC."
