Heatsink has a big dent

Go to solution Solved by Stefan1024,

A dent is no problem for the heat pipe. However a smal hole (no mater how smal it is) will completely destroy the functionality of the heat pipe.

If you can RMA the cooler and request a new one.

Hey guys!

I wanted to switch my Thermal paste and then i saw this. A big dent on the heatsink. post-205459-0-54194400-1452364624_thumb.post-205459-0-42251000-1452364633_thumb.

Now I am not sure if this is normal.

I got the PC from e-tec where you can configure your PC and they stick everything together.

So theres my question. Should i stay with this or should i contact the support for a new cooler.

Thanks,

Gerald

report it the customer service, looks like it had to much mounting pressure and the cpu headspreader made the dent

EDIT: how does the cpu look like? @Skull_Zockt

Thanks guys, I will contact the customer service.

But one question, what means RMA? @Stefan1024

It simply means you request a repair or replasement what you already do.
