  1. Haha I am not going the Linux way, this is more of executing commands I don't know the functionality of. Guess I'll just have to life with never opening up Disk Management again ^^ Thanks again for the help!
  2. Why go the easy route when you can do it the hard way Just a small question. Can I add my 2 not assigned partitions (1000 MB and 301 MB) back to my C: safely?
  3. Yessss... Managed to get it to work. My issue was that I have multiple drives in my system and therefore I had to change the following command a little. bcdboot C:\Windows /s b: Instead of C I had to choose E. For some reason in the OS the drive with Windows is shown as C: but in diskpart it was E: Well man, can't thank you enough. Would have been a pain to reinstall everything. You saved me a lot of work. Thanks again, Sky
  4. All command except fixboot ran successfully. Still getting the same error on that one "Access Denied"
  5. Running form one problem to the other. Command now is recognized, but I get "Acces Denied" Error on the "bootrec /fixboot" command When I quit i am on "X:\sources" Do i need to go into a secific drive or folder?
  6. I have the system partition as I just created it, the second partition I could not create. For some reason your last 2 commands are not being recognized. Do I need to quit diskpart before executing them? As of now I just get a list of possible DISKPART commands when I try to execute bootrec or bcdboot.
  7. Hey man, first of all thanks for the help. I managed to shrink my Volume. I now got the following partitions on my drive PartNum Type Size Offset 1 Reserved 16MB 1024KB 2 Primary 930GB 17MB 3 System 200MB 931GB I failed on the create partition msr size=1128 command. at first I thought that there is just not enough space, therefore I shrank my partition by an additional 1000MB. But after that I still got the same error. I don't know if it helps if I post the german error message. Is there any information I could provide you that would help?
  8. Hey guys, some months ago I setup a new SSD with Windows 11 on my pc. While doing that I still had my old Win10 drive installed. On Startup I could decide which OS to boot into. I now removed my Win10 drive and there had to be some information needed to be able to boot on there. The thing now is I already reformatted the drive. How can I fix my existing Win11 so I can boot back into it? Thanks in advance, Sky
  9. Thanks for the suggestion. Is there a way to test this?
  10. Hey guys, for some time now I've been having the problem that my pc did not want to boot up properly after i turned it on. It often got stuck and freezed on the attached screen. But after powering it down and up again for like 3-4 times it decided to start up properly. This problem existed for a few weeks now. After trying to remove various USB devices and also monitors, which did not lead to any success I opted to reinstall windows 10. And well, that didn't do much either. So another week passed and today it of course it had the same problems starting up, but it is as it is. But everytime I left the computer to do something else. Everytime I came back it got stuck on that exact same screen. I don't know, maybe windows did updates and restarted? I don't know. But this happened everytime I went away for longer than 20 minutes or so. And right now I got stuck on another screen. You can see the startup process on the following video ( ) Could it be that eitehr the PSU or the mainboard are damaged? I have the PC itself always connected to the power outlet. Although everything else is connected to an outlet which I can turn on and off (e.g. 3 Monitors, Microphone Amp, Audio Receiver, ...) Basically everythig else. And I noticed before when I turned on the PC and at the same time turned on the outlet for everything else it failed booting (most likely due to everything else draining a lot of power for a second). Could this maybe over time have damaged something? Or do you maybe have another idea on what the problem could be? PC got built @ about the end of 2013 and GPU, SSDs got upgraded over time. My specs: Mainboard: MSI Z97-Gaming 5 CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k 4x4Ghz GPU: MSI GTX 1070 RAM: 16GB DDR3 SSD: 2x 512GB Samsung 85, EVO 1x 1TB Samsung 860 EVO PSU: EVGA 750 G2 Gold Thank you very much in advance, Skull
  11. I am currently undervolting the CPU and with that I can achieve acceptable temps with the fan spinning at 50%. Thanks for helping, still don't know why the MoBo can't read the temps and Windows can, but at least it works now
  12. What I don't understand is why can a program like CPU-Z or hwMonitor read the CPU temps and my mainboard not? If the sensor itself would be broken, how would the Computer know the temperature?
  13. I'll try that, hopefully it fixes my problem Bad news. I updated the BIOS and it still doesn't show the CPU temps. Could it be that my mainboard is broken? I knew it was working when I got my PC 3-4 years ago.
  14. I've never done this. Whats the best way to do this? Can I update the BIOS via MSI Live Updater?
  15. Hey guys, Specs: Mainboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5 CPU: Intel Core i7-4790k RAM: 16 GB (I think its from Ballistix) Cooler: Alpenföhn Brocken 2 I was trying to undervolt my CPU, when I noticed that it wasn't even passing a Stresstest before the undervolt, due to too high temperatures. I looked at the fan speeds while the Stresstest was running and I noticed that it stayed at 400 RPM even though the CPU was getting to about 87°C. When I went into the BIOS I noticed that the CPU temperature was showing 0°C. I dissassembled my build removed the cooler looked at the CPU and put the cooler back on. When I started the PC again just to test I still had no temperatures. I attached 2 pictures. One is my Test Setup and the other the CPU Temp. in the BIOS. As you can see in the pictures I tested without a GPU. Hope this is solveable. Thanks in advance, Skull
