Intel HD4400Mobile & Intel HD4600Desktop

OSBK

i just have a little question that i can't understand. this is the i5 4300U http://ark.intel.com/products/76308/Intel-Core-i5-4300U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_90-GHz it's a laptop Cpu with HD4400Mobile and this is the i7 4770K http://ark.intel.com/products/75123/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz?q=i7%204770k#@specifications with HD4600Desktop. if you look at the graphics section you'll notice that the HD4400Mobile support DirectX12 while HD4600Desktop don't ??

isn't the HD4600 newer and more powerful ? so how is that, or is it because the HD4400 is a mobile version ?

probably down to the fact that desktop CPUs usually have a dedicated GPU along side them to handle stuff like that

Aftermarket 980Ti >= Fury X >= Reference 980Ti > Fury > 980 > 390X > 390 >= 970 380X > 380 >= 960 > 950 >= 370 > 750Ti = 360

well that's the truth. i did some research and i found that most of intel HD graphics mobile version with core i5 4th & 5th GEN support DX12, while the i7 mobile graphics don't except for the new Skylake CPUs
