Hello guys

 

I just completed my first build and my HDD does not get detected. I have a M.2 SSD installed which works perfectly, but the hdd does not get detected. I checked all cables and they´re in. I am using Windows 10 64-bit.Please help me!

its called windows disk management and you use that to make it show up

its  in the windows admin tools

1) right click the start button

2) Disk Managment

3) Navigate trough UI to change the drive letter

 

or

 

1) Win+R

2) diskpart

3) Run

--from now on after every line type enter

4) list disk

--Locate your HDD that doesn't show up

5) select disk X

-- where X is the number of the disk - most likely "disk 1"

6) clean

7) create partition primary

8) select partition 1

9) active

10) format fs=ntfs quick

11) assign

Does not show up there.

it should be gray

 

otherwise you didnt plug it into your motherboard correctly

or you didnt plug power into the drive

is the SATA power connected as well?
