Help with watercooling GPUs

Go to solution Solved by Marinatall_Ironside,

Well for starters you'll need

1) A pump (D5 or DDC. I'd go D5 if you can afford the room)

2) Fittings (This one component will surely send your budget through the roof if you go and get a bunch of them, mix and match)

3) Radiators (Go for the biggest radiator you can fit into your case. Length first, thickness last)

4) Tubing (You can either go for soft tubing, acrylic/PETG, or even copper). Be sure that whatever fittings you're getting can fit the tubing.

5) Coolant (There are all kinds of coolant you can use to watercool, I personally prefer a premixed coolant from a reputable brand such as EK, PrimoChill, or Mayhems. Colors are personal choice, so I'll leave that to you)

6) Reservoir (Either a tube or a 5.25" reservoir will do. You can even set up dual loops for more badassery, though that doesn't increase cooling performance. I prefer tube reservoirs over 5.25" ones)

We'll for starters you need to set up a watercooling loop (guessing you already knew this).

yes. i just need to know everything i have to buy to make it. i just want to be sure i have everything. so i dont go down to do it and realize im missing something important

you probably should not be building a custom watercooling loop if you cant even be sure that youre buying what you need...

Are they full cover? universal ones are not worth the effort in my opinion.

Setting it up is pretty straight forward just unscrew the cover and put the thermalpads on and put the new block on you may put a backplate on it for the looks.

Then you can chose which inlets and outles you wanna use but make sure you use the other port on the other side.

gee thanks for the optimism. I just wanted to make sure i had everything i needed. thanks for your contribution though.

Its not optimism

Its realism

And the possibility of a fluid leak killing all your parts is also very real

You didnt post your watercooling parts list so it seemed like you were just asking for people to tell you what you need to buy rather than spending the time to research yourself what is needed

And from my experience, people who dont do enough research about watercooling usually end up with a dead PC and water all over the place
