Unusually long boot times...

Go to solution Solved by Fassive,

download Junkware removal tool and see if that helps.

So my computer used to take around 30 seconds (including password) to be fully booted up and able to be used. Lately it has been taking around 3-4 minutes just to get to the login screen. I haven't changed anything internal on my computer, and haven't changed any programs lately.

I also haven't cleaned the inside for about... 1-2 months? Somewhere in that time frame.

Any ideas?

What OS? Have you checked for anything in the startup folder? Have you seen any less read write speed on your hard drive?

If you do normally clean your system, maybe its time to clean it.

If I use words like probably or most likely, it is because I dislike certainty. These words can probably be omitted and the sentence read as a certainty.

Do you have your boot drive as first drive in your bios? Going thru many drive takes a while

Should be. I haven't changed the order at all.

Win10 and haven't checked it in a while.

Haven't noticed a decrease in speeds for r/w.

Removed 16 items. None looked unusual. Gonna reboot and see what it does.
