I would say strafe rgb or k70 rgb, I have the k70 rgb and it's great but maybe a bit out of your price range

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

If your budget is $150, a Ducky would offer the best quality and performance, and offer all kinds of switches.

  • Do not get the Corsair Strafe, it is to a degree, a downgraded K70 (the standard costs around the same as the Strafe too).
  • Razer uses Kailh Switches, they work fine but they only offer tactile switches (green/blue and orange/brown).
  • Cherry MX is actually more effective and durable though so you won't be getting quality switches with Razer.
  • If Razer is a must though, you may want to look at one of their older Blackwidow models which have Cherry MX switches.
  • If you are going to replace your keycaps as well, the Ducky is better since they have a standard keyboard layout.

Get one you like. You typically get what you pay for in peripherals, companies put a lot of time into competitively pricing their products. That being said, It really depends on what you want and what you want to pay for. While you can get a fairly decent board with rgb back-lighting and all that for around 150, you can also get a very nice board with a better pcb, pbt keycaps, on board configurations ect. for the same price without all the bling.

Here's how I feel about a few that I own:

Corsair k65 rgb (tkl k70 if you will)- (Cherry Red) Has some aluminum on it which aside from looks it's actually what the switches are mounted on which makes a nice solid feel. It also uses Cherry switches which is a plus. They're pretty basic boards beyond the backlighting which is actually a good thing in my book. The software is meh. If you manage to find it on sale, which is pretty common for corsair products really, snag one up.

Ducky Shine, Zero and mini-(have one in Cherry Blue, brown and green) Very good build quality with some backlighting effects most are only dual or tri color led backlit (all of them that I own). Ducky boards are kind of the lower end of the premium keyboard market and well placed there imho. No software +++

Logitech G910- I'll call this one the close but no cigar board. The G910 used the Romer G switches made by omron in part with Logitech. I have to say I really like the romer G switches, It's just everything else about the board that makes me want to throw it at times. The keycaps have to be the worst I've ever used hands down, there is a standard keycap set available but it's another $40 or so. The shape of the wrist rest is terrible if you actually plan on typing on the thing for any extended period of time. That being said the software is very user friendly, maybe not as customizable as the corsair software but mch easier to use.

WASD V1- (Cherry blue) Probably my favorite modern board to use. Wasd are probably one of the best no-frills boards I've used so far. Again no messy software.

Logitech G710+- ( Cherry Browns) It's okay nothing special. White backlighting, Keycaps have been known to split in half, but you can find them for around 80-90 bucks pretty often on sale and they do have Cherry switches.

Razer Blackwidow- (cherry blue and Razer green) Not a terrible board really overall It has nice backlighing options. You do get kaihl switches (which I still don't think have an issue with durability as much as consistency in feel) and that terrible black fingerprint magnet coating, however. For the price of the rgb board I honestly wouldn't pay it. They rarely go on sale like their BW ultimate counterpart either.

But honestly size matters more for me than anything. ;o heh. I like having the tk on my office board. When it comes to playing shooters though I can't be without a 60% or tkl board.

So in the end it's pretty well: Do you want a huge board or a smaller one? Do you want RGB Backlighting? And what switches do you want?
