The Ship Black screen on launch

Hey all, just bought "The Ship" Multiplayer edition for a dollar on steam and downloaded it and everything but when I launch the game it displays the 'Outerlight logo' in a window with a border then shows a black screen. If I click on it once it will say that the game is not responding. This is very frustrating and the lack of support is stupid. Any help will be appreciated.

 

Thanks in advance. AND YES I have verified integrity of game cache and it said that everything was fine.

 

If there is no fix I will just reinstall and try running it again :/

Dunno how to fix it, but if you do ever get it fixed be prepared to not find any matches. No one ever plays it anymore.

Pretty much. Though I did find a few matches the other day, it really hasn't aged well :/

Going to play this with 1 or 2 friends so it's ok

 

 

besides it was 1 dollar lol I got a 1dollar drop in csgo so not a biggie
