They're fine, I suppose, if you're deaf. Obviously there are lots of fans out there that are unbearably loud, and Corsair's fans (so-called "Quiet Edition" fans included) are just some of them, but the problem is that they cost the same as some much better competition. Noctua fans aren't much more than Corsairs, but now that the LTT fans are sold out you can only get the ugly brown ones or the much more expensive PPCs. BeQuiet! however has fans that are nearly equal to Noctuas and much better than Corsairs in every regard, particularly noise, and they actually cost less.

They're cheaper?? I can get 4 sp fans for $50. Noctuas are $20 apiece.

Which model are you using? It doesn't look like the ringed QE.

It's one of the LED models rather than the ringed ones, but that shouldn't make a difference...

It does. They're not the same fan and the ringed QE's are significantly better. http://www.anandtech.com/show/9737/the-corsair-sp140-led-af140-led-sp120-af120-fan-review

BeQuiet!'s aren't necessarily cheaper. Their Pure Wings 2's fall in line with some of Noctua's redux pricing and their flagship Silent Wings 2's are priced similarly to Noctua's standard fans.

It looks like you've never used Corsair QE's. They're not the best but they're good enough to be quiet tier fans. http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1342-page9.html

Do you know of any good fans that come in twin packs? Looking to save some money. Budgets around $60.

i5-4690K, GTX 970, NZXT s340, Asus Z97 Pro

What's the reason behind getting aftermarket fans in the first place? Are you not satisfied with the stock ones?

They only come with 2 standard Nzxt ones, and the other two I have are LEDs and im not happy with their color or performance.

To be clear, are you not happy with the performance with any of the fans or just the led ones?

Any; sorry, wasn't very clear. My room becomes a furnace and during the summer it's painful.

Are you using US dollars?

Yes

Depending on how much you want to spend, here are some options:

1.

Silent12 rear exhaust: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gelid-solutions-case-fan-fntx1215

Vortex for front intakes and make top exhaust: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cougar-case-fan-cfv14s

2.

PW2's for front intakes and top/rear exhaust:

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/be-quiet-case-fan-bl046

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/be-quiet-case-fan-bl047

For either of these, a good quiet replacement for the stock BladeMaster on the 212 Evo would be a Hyperborea: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-case-fan-rocf11004

3.

NF-S12B for rear exhaust: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-case-fan-nfs12bredux1200pwm

NF-P14S for front intakes and top exhaust: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-case-fan-nfp14sredux900

Another NF-S12B could be good replacement for the stock BladeMaster for a bit less performance but much lower noise.

If money isn't really an issue, you could outfit the case with Silent Wings 2's or NF-S12A's and NF-A14's.

2 questions:

1. Does it matter what Cougar fans I get? I'm looking at these

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cougar-case-fan-cfv12hpb

2. Can I replace the silent12 for a pure wings 2 and and still have as good of performance? Pure wings work better for me.

Those are the same Cougar fans but in 120mm instead of 140mm. Stick with 140mm fans instead of 120mm when possible.

PW2's would be better than Silent12's.

Yeah sorry I meant to show the 140mm's. I think they're slightly different style.

The only difference is the color. If you want black, just go with PW2's.
