so i got new 8gb g skill ram today but i can't seem to find ram timing. On seller website it's mentioned  7-8-8-24  but I can't find something like that on Aida 64 and it's not also 1600 Mhz it's 1333 Mhz? Here is the seller website  http://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/gskill-ripjawsx-f3-12800cl7d-8gbxm-ram/ .. Can anyone tell me what's the ram timing and should i keep it because it's not 1600. My old corsair 4 gb ram speed is 1600. Should i return it and get another ram with speed 1600 Mhz or should i keep it?

here's the info i found in Aida 64

System Memory 4044 MB  (DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM)
DIMM3: G Skill RipjawsX F3-12800CL7-4GBXM 4 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM  (10-9-9-24 @ 666 MHz)  (9-9-9-24 @ 666 MHz)  (8-8-8-22 @ 609 MHz)  (7-7-7-20 @ 533 MHz)  (6-6-6-17 @ 457 MHz)  (5-5-5-14 @ 380 MHz)
DIMM4: G Skill RipjawsX F3-12800CL7-4GBXM 4 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM  (10-9-9-24 @ 666 MHz)  (9-9-9-24 @ 666 MHz)  (8-8-8-22 @ 609 MHz)  (7-7-7-20 @ 533 MHz)  (6-6-6-17 @ 457 MHz)  (5-5-5-14 @ 380 MHz)

and does it say SYstem Memory 4044 MB when i have 8 gb ram?

Happy New Year  :)  :)

Grab CPUz and go to the SPD tab. It will list your rams JEDEC and XMP profiles including all timings across a range of different speeds.

so it's default speed is 1333 Mhz and i have to overclock it 1600 Mhz to get 7-8-8-24?

Generally just enabling XMP in BIOS or UEFI will do everything for you.

Could you please open System Properties (Win Key + Pause/Break) and take a screenshot of it then.post the SS in this thread.

Sounds like some good ram. I bet you could still tighten it some more.

7-8-8-24 1.5v for 1600mhz if stable try 7-7-7-20 to squeeze a little more out of it, if not stable try 7-8-7-21.

how can i do that?

BIOS manual, set up the timings, save and quit and see if it boots, get in windows and see if it is stable.

ok going to do that in 30 mins

I'm only in the BIOS ram settings for like 10 seconds in this video and your BIOS depending on the board will probably look a lot different.  But you should still be able to kind of see what I have and figure out how to do it yourself with your BIOS.  Watch 0:49-0:59 those 10 seconds should give you an idea.

Looks like those sticks have XMP for 1600 though so if you don't feel comfortable or don't know what you are doing in BIOS then I would suggest just using the XMP profile. Looks like that will set it at 1600 with 7-8-8-24 32-T2 timings.

If you have XMP enabled it should be, if you never did enable XMP it is probably running at some kind of default 1333 setting. Look at the memory tab of CPU-Z and see what it is running at. Post a screen shot if you are unsure. DRAM frequency it shows X2 equals your clock and you'll see your timings there too.

CPU-Z-Memory.jpg

In this example they are running at 1866 (933X2).

I checked BIOS twice after doing that :)

I'm also uploading the screenshot from cpu z

just one more thing can i overclock it to 1866

my mobo is MSI 970a-G43

You possibly could, I would loosen timings if you try.

Perhaps...  10-10-10-30, if it boots tighten to 9-10-9-27?

All of this is basically just to play with it if you want. You won't notice any difference really... even in synthetic benchmarks I bet it wouldn't be 1% and that is margin of error.

I'm just tossing it out there for an example of how you would go about doing it.
