Which r9 390 is the best.

I have to choose from Asus, Gigabyte and MSI. (Those are the only retailers that my Microcenter carries.)

MSI. Asus had a crap cooler for the R9 290, but the 390 cooler is actually good.

 

The best versions are the Sapphire Nitro and Powercolor PCS+, but it looks like those aren't an option.

I have had two MSI 7870's in the past, both are great cards, but I'm definitely not going MSI again because of little features like fan software they implement(dust prevention and small fans). I just don't like their branding as well.

 

I'd recommend Gigabyte, all of their cards are great.

 

However, if it was an option, I'd really recommend Sapphire, I have my current 390 from them and it has been amazing.

All of my gigabyte that I have owned have died. MY two gigabute 780s died. My 780ti gigabyte died. And my 7950 gogabyte died. But it seems MSI is my best option?

Damn, that reminds me of my Asus luck. Every single Asus product I've come into contact with(GPU's, motherboards, monitors, etc.) have all died. So I stay away from Asus like the plague, but have had nothing but good experiences from Gigabyte(GPU's and motherboards, years of no issues).

 

So yeah, MSI from what your choices are.

Sounds like you two need to get over your small sample size errors and stop believing that if a single coin toss lands on tails that all coin tosses must land on tails.

We all do it. I'm guilty of it. My Gigabyte MOBO has given me trouble so I don't like Gigabyte. If I look at it rationally it's been a great MOBO, but we're not rational by nature.

The strix isn't bad, and I personally like how it looks. MSI is also solid though.

Well when it always lands on tails and has never landed on heads, then I'm not bothering tossing the coin anymore.
