I will randomly be playing games and listening to Youtube at the same time and not have problems for up to two hours straight then my computer will just shut off. Is there something wrong with it.

i can only think of the CPU and mobo are overheating and shutting down

also check your power connections

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Also I checked the power plugs a few times and nothing changed

I'm going to suspect that it's your power supply, I had a similar problem with my other PSU where at random it would just short and shut down the system abruptly.

What is a good PSU for dual 980 ti and an x99 platform like an i7 6700K? Because that is what I would like to do soon. I have the money but not the right parts picked yet.

I'm intrigued, what cooler do you have? My 6300 couldn't get higher than 4.2Ghz with a Cooler Master Seidon 120 without hitting 70 degrees C in prime 95
