Far Cry 4 Game Install Errors! HELP...

Samsterstorm
Go to solution Solved by AlTech,

I know you're gonna wanna punch me. But talk to Ubisoft Support. Sometimes they're assholes but at least when you have a problem they'll tell you right away if they can fix it or not.

Just talk to them and they'll probably respond within a day.  In the mean time Play something else and defrag your HDD for good measure,

Hi Guys,

So got FC4 for christmas and I am super excited to play it as I am massive FC fan, but naturally... It didn't just install that would be to easy! So I am getting about 7 or so errors which look like this during the install from the disc:

Now I have followed my own personal advice and done some pretty serious Google and Youtube searching and have come up with pretty much nothing... I cannot find anyone that has had this error before on the internet  !!! I tried searching for the phrase "File is externally altered" but as far as I can tell this is a data transfer issue and that's about as much as I could find sadly!

Now before people say ignore the errors etc... I have tried that and then I verified the files and I was missing over 20GB of files!!! Now I get about 170kb/s download in Steam and UPlay on a good day and this will take me weeks and weeks!!! Let alone downloading the whole game... So does anyone have anything I can try? I am using an external Blu-Ray drive would this have an effect? I have no drivers installed for it as it has never needed them and I have done a lot of game installs with it!!

Thanks guys for any help in advance even just basic ideas would be great!

Ok, I defragged it yesterday so I will just let it do a quick pass! I will ask them, I have used them before for FC3 and they where alright I guess, thanks man appreciate it!

And I shall finish GTA 5 while I wait

Oh and if this works then click "Mark as Solved" so others can follow through if they have the same problem.
