Hi guys. So Im going to get these parts for my upgrade:

GTX 760 4GB(for SLi later on)
Corsair TX650(I think 650,might be the 750)
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 or i7-3770?

Will the extra threads on the i7 help with streaming THAT much? Or will the i5 be enough?

My current setup is:
Radeon HD 7770
i3-2120
450W PSU
8GB 1333mhz
AverMedia Live Gamer HD(helps with streaming, not enough though)

If you upgraded you would need a new motherboard. I would go with the AMD RX-8350 and a 990FX motherboard so you can squeeze all of the performance out of your CPU by overclocking.

i5 is enough. I've tried streaming and it works fine. Quality is atrocious, though, but that's because I was trying to stream 720p at 1Mbps. Make sure your upload speed is good and 720p/1080p should be smooth.

I wouldnt ACTUALLY need a new mobo, only if I was going to OC the chips.

My upload is about 4.5,so its fine,Ive streamed GMOD and stuff like that at 720p fine.

Why not get a AMD 8 core?

I've looked at that, and some reviews say it beats the i7 while streaming, others say it gets crushed by the i7.

Yes, but you will lose features.

i would get 8350, and you do not need 4gb of vram.

Yea. Idk,i7 seems promising and the 8350 seems to be the unknown with the reviews flopping all over.

Check out my CPU FAQ topic in my signature, there are multiple 9350 benchmarks on there.

As I said,in a few months I might want to go SLI,so,if I had the 2gb version,I would only have 2gb of vram. That's why I want the 4gb version.

Are you using 1080p screen? And 760 only have 256bit mem. bus so it cant fill 4gb of vram.

OH! Right,I completely forgot about the 256bit. Ok,so thats saves me like $25 on the card. And yes,a single 1080P 60hz for gaming,a second 900P(I think) for twitch chat, skype, twitter, ect.

an 8350 with a 990fx board is your best option

8320 with a Sabertooth or something along those lines and overclock it. Although you might want to get a decent cooler like the NZXT Havik or H100i if you can afford it

Edit: Excuse my idiocy earlier, a tad bit tired

definitly 8350 running slightly overclocked. get good cooler.

Ugh,more and more money. Cooler: $30. MOBO: $130. CPU:$200. Still cheaper than i7 with a new mobo. But why the 8350? Alot of reviews shows it performs on par with i5,and others say it is on par with the i7 and even beats it.

Single threaded vs multithreaded applications.

The 8350 is not massively faster than any i5 in streaming, Logan used one application to do the encoding work, i used Adobe's encoding software, and was averaging 70FPS in BF3, and 60-120fps in Lost planet on my 2500k which at the time was downclocked to 4.5ghz.

My upload speed is 1mb, and cannot even stream at 480p without lag, but the performance is clearly shown...

Lost Planet: this lags throughout due to me not turning down the quality from 720p.

BF3: this becomes watchable at 17 mins into the stream.

I would probably jump to a AMD 8350, just because with streaming its just a complete beast for streaming because of the amount of cores

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i Chassis/Case: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2  Motherboard: Asus Z87-Deluxe RAM:  Team Vulcan 2x4Gb(2133Mhz)  Video Card: Asus 7970 Direct CU II Custom Rom (150% Power, 1100 core 6Ghz Memory)  Power Supply: Fractal Integra R2 750 Watt  Keyboard: Cooler Master Quick Fire Rapid (MX Blue Switches)  MouseCorsair M90 Storage: SX900 128Gb, Seagate 1TB 7200RPM, WD Green 1TB 7200RPM   MY OLD BUILDLOG

I would go with the 8350 also since it is cheaper than the i7 and this can be overclocked and the cpu that you chose are not "K" processors and even though they can be overclocked you will not get good overclocks out of it imo. The motherboard that I would recommend for the 8350 is the Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0.
