Best bang for buck Router out of these options

Gershy13

I have a few options to replace my SHub2ac.

Get the C8 for £54 (amazon used good condition, £5 more will bring it to very good condition)

Get the Archer C5 for £59.99 (New, currys pcworld ebay)

Get the C8 for £64.99 (new, amazon)

Get the C9 for £75 (used from ebay, customer return, very good condition)

Or get the C9 for £89.99 (new, amazon)

It is really pushing going above the £60 range.... as i wouldnt want to spend more than that on a router, however if the benefits are good enough, then ill go with the more expensive ones...

Also from what i have seen, the C8 and C9 have a new, better looking web interface...

What i am looking for, is a router that will provide good wifi signal throughout our house... as our VM Shub2ac, doesnt quite cut it...

Thanks

Gershy13

nowhere was that said, and you did ask for bang for the buck, so...

I mean, you built your computer, right? This is no different.

Fair enough.

Whatever, buy whichever one is cheapest for the features you want.

Out of those I would get the Archer C8 from Amazon. Reason, it will be easy to return if it doesnt work for you. And its in your budget. Look at the return policy for the used and new one and get the one you are most comfortable getting :)

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

ok thanks, i think that is the most reasonable one.... i might actually buy it new, and see if it works ok, if it does, i will return it, and buy it used :P

im essentially renting it for free..... but then again its only £10 diffference between new and used...

You asked for bang for buck.

It probably wouldn't. Wireless is a huge hassle to get working decently. pfSense didn't even support wireless N speeds up until very recently, and now it only works on some cards, in some configs, if the stars align a certain way.

OP I am not sure getting any of those routers will be that big of an upgrade. From what I've heard the Super Hub 2ac is decent, and none of the ones you linked are that great either. Have you tried other things such as moving the router to other locations in the house? Chances are that would make a bigger difference than just spending money on another router.

Hmmm really? The super hub from what I've seen, and I have it, Is bad... And apparently for the price the archer routers are really good...

I have tried moving it... But it still isnt going to cover my whole house....
