I bought the Z97S SLI Krait Edition and recently found out that it doesn't have built in wifi, so there are a few options I have thought of.

1) Is there any way to turn an 8GB USB Stick into a 'WiFi Dongle'? Are there any programs I can install to make it do this?

2) Could I bring up my router to my room, and connect it via Ethernet cables? Would my internet speeds be fast enough to install games like Fallout 4 and Rainbow Six Siege, as well as drivers. I also have a Smart TV downstairs that needs to connect to the wifi to make all of the extra programs work, could it connect to my router wireless or not?

3) Would I have to buy a WiFi card to put in my Motherboard? Can you suggest good cards for competitive gaming, it would need good speeds.

Thank you for reading!

1) No.

2) Yes, theoretically you could. As far as your internet speeds are concerned, that depends on your connection.

3) Anything will do. Also, gaming on WiFi is a terrible idea, just get an Ethernet cable or Powerline adapters.

Gaming on WiFi is fine. Ive done it for years. As long as your WiFi connection is strong. However you will have more reliability and more consistency on Ethernet. If you go the WiFi route buy a wireless card that goes with your router. For example if you have an AC 1200 Router then look for a corresponding card.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

That depends on where you live and what's the situation with WiFi there. On 5GHz it's fine, on 2,4 in a congested area... God help you. Especially with people who set their beautiful routers on channel 5, 40 MHz wide band, full transmit power ;)

Also, depends on what game. I can deal with WiFi induced lag while playing SC2. I can't deal with that on CS:GO ;)

Good Point. I forget that not every one lives in an area that has no WiFi interference. I would defiantly recommend something that supports 5Ghz, which would be every AC router. As long as you are close enough then 5Ghz is your friend.

Is this wifi connection good enough? Also, what should I do about ethernet, should I run a cable from downstairs to my room, as my parents like watching TV, or should I go wireless?

WiFi has gotten much better during the last few generations. Speed are much faster compared to Wireless G. But it all depends on the airwaves near you. I have maybe 2 other access points in range and they are barely in range. So all the wireless channels are open for me to use. Im 10-15 feet from my access point. There are many walls between but I get fairly good signal on 5Ghz. Personally I would run a wire. Only because its more reliable, more secure and more consistent with speed. If you dont want to run a wire then I would suggest Wireless AC.
