I remember vaguely when Linus and Luke talked about 6700(non k) being overclockable on WAN show, but I didn't pay too much attention back then. Now, that I'm interested, I seem to can't find the info anywhere, and I don't even remember which episode it was too. Can anyone help clarify this ?

Yeah with help of AsRock Z170 series motherboards via changing BCLK.

Asus released beta BIOS for some specific motherboards.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

WD Green 1TB - Seagate 2.5" HDD 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 500GB - Antec X1 E.

It's doable depending on hardware setup.

It's just not as easy as changing a multiplier and watching the magic happen.

Nice Oreki profile image by the way.

Apparently on some motherboards such as ASRock.

Its availible on MSI, AsRock, and Biostar. I would only recommend the first two, but Biostars boards at least look better then they did 2 generations ago... Its because of the bios that they have on the motherboards, but Intel might shut the unlockedness down.

I'm not familiar with the subject, can I get your input whether MSI Z170 series(M3) could also get the feature too ?

Thanks

With some mobos you can oc it using the base clock. Its not as good as using k cpu, and if you want to oc i would suggest it. The k version is also clocked much higher(3.4 vs 4).

as long as it's doable. I'd like to learn new stuffs a long the way anyways.

Oreki happens to be one of my all time favourite. xD still hoping for season two, but thing doesn't look to well.

your Holo with Christmas hat looks surprisingly good too.

There is a BIOS update for that.

But it's in beta.

Use it at your own risk. Wait for few weeks. Official BIOS will come out any time soon.

I'm still considering between the k and non-k. I think I could save a few buck for monitors if I can still get a decent performance out of the overclocked non-k

Season 2? The closest we'll get is a movie with the amount of source content available at the moment.

Holo is only here temporary, I've had Oreki as my profile image since I joined.

From what i heard the series used volume 1-> 3 for the first season; and volume 4 and 5 still have room for the second season, but probably either 12 episodes or super slow-pace 24 episodes.. maybe.....

Movie doesn't sound too bad either.

Thank for sharing. It seems there have only been 37  downloads so far.. I think I'm gonna have to wait and see how things go for a bit longer...
