Do you think using an r9 390 on a 550 watt psu is a good idea?

It's fine.

The build consumes 100W less than that at full tilt. Plus, SeaSonic PSU' s are extremely good at any tier.

None. You could run a 4460 with two 980 Ti' s and not have a bottleneck.

Running an AMD build now will make you wish you had done an Intel rig later down the road. Might as well take Czex's advice.

EDIT: I can speak from experience.

[spoiler=Current Rig] N/A

Also looking at the compatibility notes it says that the motherboard BIOS may need an update before running a haswell cpu, if this is the case for this motherboard how can I get the update?

Okay, also can the itx case fit that big GPU and would there be any BIOS settings I need to change to get the two separate RAM sticks to play together, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of an ITX build compared to an ATX build?

1. Yes, the GPU will fit.

2. No BIOS settings will have to be changes as the sticks are identical.

3. Pros: Small; Cons: Low upgradability

Do you know how I would be able to do an ATX build for within extra $150AUD with no bottlenecks and the same storage and ram?
