So I got a computer in, he upgraded from 7 to 10 and he waited to long to bring it in to go back to 7...

I finally got it to stop BSOD on me on bootup and can now get into the desktop, but around 10-15 minutes itll just stop, as if you had pulled the power plug.

I have it and the monitor on their own fuse and I know it's good, I use it all the time for computers.

First thing I tried when that happened was switch out his 250w PSU for a 450w PSU.... Still getting the same results, I doubt it is a PSU issue because of this.

in the windows update there are always two updates downloading:

cumulative update for windows 10 for x64 based systems. (KB3116869)

Upgrade to windows 10 pro, version 1511, 10586

specs:

CPU: AMD athlon 445e 2.3Ghz

RAM: 3GB (1GB Samsung 6400u stick, 2GB Kingstin 6400u stick)

Mobo: MCP61PM-HM REV: 1.0B

GPU: Asus Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT

PSU: Bestec 250watt

THIS IS MY SUPER TEENY TINY SIGNATURE!

Ain't it just the cutest little signature.

Some would argue it is the cutest little signature ever.

If I do the windows 10 refresh where it keeps the personal data but wipes the programs, will that fix it?  He didnt want the computer wiped...

And that is not true, Ive upgraded and kept files on three different computers ad all have "no problems"

I get:

system_service_exception (ENG64.SYS)

Whenever it shuts down.... If that helps any.

You've got to understand, just because you didn't get the issue when you upgraded, doesn't mean they don't exist. They're actually very common. The jump from 7 to 10 isn't minor so expect things to be fucked up. Fresh install is always the better option.

I didnt and never had any issues

well other people also didnt and had a ton of issues

of course not everyone will have issues, but the chances definitely are higher if you dont do a clean install

oh and btw sometimes issues take months of years before you notice them, so that doesnt mean your PC is issue free

nope

im on windows 7

but if you look on the forums, there have been dozens of posts about issues with windows 10, and all of them have been because the person just did the upgrade without a clean install
