You can get the Func MS-2 for under 15 pound.
It has an optical sensor, comes with a few extra buttons and has a pretty nice shape I think.

This is the mouse I'm currently using...it changes colors though, not just red but it's working well and I've had it for a couple of months, I do think that it won't last long (or at least the lights wont) since it's fairly cheap but I've only had it for a couple of months so maybe (hopefully) it will last for years. Here's another one I found and you may also look into this one.
